The hobo spider is found in the northwestern United States and southwestern Canada. It is brown or gray in color and has a V-shaped marking on its abdomen. The hobo spider is not as shy as the black widow or brown recluse and will often bite humans if it feels threatened. However, its venom is not as potent as that of the black widow or brown recluse and bites from this spider are usually not serious.
